February 15, 2026, 20:00 PM

Patrol Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Midway Avenue and N Martine Avenue after observing a motor vehicle violation. Upon receiving the driver’s credentials, the officer’s mobile data terminal showed an active ATS warrant for the driver. During this time, it was determined that Luz Rodriguez-Guerra, a 32-year-old Plainfield resident, had an outstanding traffic warrant for $550 from the North Plainfield Municipal Court. Rodriguez-Guerra was arrested, processed, and then released on her own recognizance with a new court date to appear in North Plainfield.

February 15, 2026, 13:28 PM

Patrol officers responded to a private residence on Terrill Road for a report of an appliance fire. Upon arrival, officers located the resident’s oven on fire and attempted to contain the flames using a handheld extinguisher. Shortly after, the Fanwood Fire Department responded to the scene and was able to put the fire out. There were no reported injuries.

February 15, 2026, 10:50 AM

Patrol officers responded to the South Side Train Station parking lot for a reported vehicle fire. Upon arrival, they located a 2015 Kia sedan fully engulfed in flames. The Fanwood Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. The vehicle was towed from the lot. There were no reported injuries.

February 14, 2026, 12:45 PM

Patrol officers took a report of credit card fraud. The victim reported that an unknown party utilized her credit card information to make several purchases totaling over $230.00.

February 6, 2026, 16:52 PM

Patrol officers responded to a private residence on Mary Lane for a report of property damage. While there, they determined the resident’s vehicle, which was legally parked in the road, was damaged within the past two days.

February 3, 2026, 12:07 PM

Patrol officers conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Rainier Road and Glenwood Road for a motor vehicle violation. During this time, it was determined that Mario Ossesvistoso, a 57-year-old Bridgewater resident, had an outstanding no-bail NCIC warrant from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office. Ossesvistoso was arrested and lodged in the Somerset County Jail.

A resident responded to police headquarters for a report of identity theft. The resident stated an unknown party filed taxes in her name as she received a W2 form from a private business she has never worked for. There were no reported financial losses.

February 2, 2026, 16:57 PM

A resident from Westfield Road reported an unknown party stole his identity in order to open several bank accounts in his name and rent a vehicle. There have been no reported financial losses.

January 28, 2026, 2:00 PM

Patrol officers responded to a private residence on Westfield Road for a reported dispute in progress. While on scene, the parties were separated and it was determined the incident did not rise above a verbal altercation. The defendant left the scene without incident.

Patrol officers took a report of theft from the rear of a private business on South Avenue in reference to stolen cooking oil. The removal company reported an unknown party had unlawfully emptied the tank at an unknown time without permission.

January 22, 2026, 7:15 PM

Patrol Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Midway Avenue and Tower Pl after a random plate inquiry showed an active ATS warrant for the registered owner. During this time, it was determined, Daniela Cardona, a 30-year-old Clifton resident, had an outstanding traffic warrant for $1,000 from the Union Beach Municipal Court. Cardona was arrested and was able to post partial bail. She was then released on her own recognizance with a new court date to appear in Union Beach on February 18, 2026.

Patrol officers took a report of harassment from a male party who walked into police headquarters. The male party stated his neighbor had been harassing him in reference to an ongoing dispute. The male party wished to have this incident documented.

January 7, 2026, 2:32 PM

Patrol Officers responded to a private residence on South Avenue for a report of harassment. The female resident advised that her former neighbor is harassing her by posting defamatory Google Reviews about her. The female resident wished to have the incident documented.

January 11, 2026, 3:18 PM

Patrol officers conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of South Avenue and Fourth Street for a motor vehicle violation. During this time, it was determined that Stephen Buckman, a 29-year-old North Plainfield resident, had an outstanding traffic warrant for $5,500 from the Newark Municipal Court. Campbell was arrested and released on his own recognizance with a new court date to appear in Newark on January 15, 2026.
