Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop for an unregistered motor vehicle. Upon further investigation, officers discovered that the driver, Omar Chirinos, a 34-year-old Plainfield resident, had an outstanding NCIC warrant for his arrest out of the Union County Sheriff’s Office. Chirinos was arrested, processed, and turned over to the Union County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers responded to a residence on Hunter Avenue for a report of stolen property. Upon arrival, the resident reported that her dog stroller was stolen from the street, valued at $50. The incident was documented by patrol officers.

Officers responded to Russell Road for a
report of a motor vehicle idling in the roadway with the driver seated in the
driver seat. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the driver,
Nibaldo Broncanolema, a 26 year old Newark resident, was driving the motor
vehicle while under the influence. Broncanolema was arrested, charged, and
released on his own recognizance with a court date to appear.

Road for a report of stolen Apple Air Pod Max’s that were stolen from the victim’s
front porch. The incident was documented by patrol officers.

Road for a report of criminal mischief to a residence. The victim reported that
an unknown individual shattered her 2 basement windows and 1 bedroom basement

The resident who resides on Paterson Road reported that an unknown individual accessed her E-Trade account and transferred funds out of her account. Officers attempted to stop a motorcycle for a traffic violation in the area of Terrill Road and North Avenue. The motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed and did not stop for the officer. The officer did not pursue the motorcycle, and the incident was documented by patrol officers.

Upon further investigation, the officer discovered that there was marijuana in plain view inside the vehicle and it was opened, not sealed. The officer issued a summons for the motor vehicle violation and the open container violation. The incident was documented by patrol officers.

Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop for a traffic violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Rem Vanderbeek, a 37-year-old Westfield resident, had two outstanding traffic warrants for his arrest, one being out of Fanwood Borough Municipal Court and the other out of Scotch Plains Township Municipal Court. Vanderbeek paid the full bail and was released with a new court date to appear.

Patrol units responded to 42 Madison Ave for the theft of a package delivered to the home containing Apple AirPods worth $549. 00.. The male suspect fled the scene in a beige colored sedan. The incident is currently being investigated by the Detective Bureau.
