October 31, 2025, 11:10 PM

Patrol officers responded to a residence on Staggard Place for a report of criminal mischief. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party. It was determined that an unknown party threw eggs at the residence. The incident was documented by patrol officers.

Patrol officers conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Midway Avenue and Russell Road after a random plate inquiry revealed that the driver, Michael Campbell, a 24-year-old Somerville resident, had an outstanding traffic warrant for $1,000 from the Fanwood Municipal Court. Campbell was arrested and released on his own recognizance with a new court date to appear in Fanwood November 6, 2025.

Patrol officers responded to a residence on Mary Lane for a report of a bicycle theft. The total value of the bicycle was $400. The incident was documented by patrol officers.

Officers were notified by the Plainfield Police Department that Nibaldo Broncanolema, a 26-year-old resident of Newark, had been arrested on an outstanding Fanwood warrant for failure to appear in court. Fanwood officers responded to the Plainfield Police Department and took custody of the individual, transporting him to Fanwood Police Headquarters for processing.

Following processing, the individual was transported to the Union County Jail, where he was lodged pending a court appearance in Fanwood Municipal Court scheduled for Thursday, 10/23/25 at 1:30 PM. The incident was documented by patrol officers.

October 17, 2025, 01:09 PM

Patrol officers responded to the police department for a report of fraud. A business owner on South Avenue reported that an unknown individual attempted to cash a forged business check. While the account and routing numbers were accurate, all other information on the check was falsified. The check did not clear, and no funds were withdrawn from the business account. The incident was documented by responding officers.

October 16, 2025, 12:515 PM

Patrol officers responded to the police department for a report of potential fraud. A resident of Midway Avenue reported that an unknown individual appeared to have affixed their previously surrendered New Jersey license plate to an unidentified vehicle, which was then driven through an E-ZPass toll booth. As a result, the victim was charged approximately $14 for the toll violation.

Further investigation revealed that the unknown individual fraudulently replicated the victim’s license plate number and displayed it on the vehicle. The incident was documented by patrol officers.

Patrol officers conducted a motor vehicle stop for a driving with a suspended license/registration. Further investigation revealed that the registered owner, Darnell Deshon Harris, a 47-year-old Plainfield resident, had an active warrant for his arrest of $1,000 out of the Borough of Fanwood. Mr. Harris was able to pay partial bail of $300.00, and he was released on his own recognizance with a new court date of September 25, 2025. The incident was documented by patrol officers.
